Bank statement to Excel converter

Drop a PDF bank statement and download every transaction as Excel or CSV. It runs in your browser, so the statement is never uploaded.

Nothing is uploaded: the PDF is read and the Excel file is built on your own computer.

How to convert a bank statement to Excel

Three steps, a few seconds, no account.

1

Download the PDF

In your online banking, open statements and download the month you need as PDF.

2

Drop it above

The converter finds the rows and columns: date, description, debit, credit, balance.

3

Download Excel or CSV

All pages land on one sheet. Amounts are real numbers, so SUM and filters work right away.

What you get, and what to check

  • Debit, credit and balance in separate columns, not glued to the description.
  • Amounts as numbers. Values like 1,488.00 or (25.40) become numbers you can add up. Dates stay as they were printed.
  • The whole page comes along. Your bank's name, address and page footers land in the sheet too. Delete those rows before you import.
  • Up to 6 columns. Very wide statements get neighbouring columns merged. Glance at the result before you send it to your accountant.

Converting statements every month?

The same converter lives in a free Chrome extension. It opens in a side panel next to your online banking, so you skip the trip to this page, and its AI mode reads scanned and photographed statements too.

Questions

Is my bank statement uploaded anywhere?

No. The converter runs entirely in your browser. The PDF is read on your own computer and the Excel file is built there too, so your statement never reaches our server.

Which banks does it work with?

Any bank, as long as the statement is a PDF with selectable text, which is what online banking gives you when you download a statement. Scanned or photographed statements have no text layer and need AI recognition.

Is the bank statement converter free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no page limit and no watermark for text-based statements.

Can I convert a bank statement to CSV for accounting software?

Yes. After converting, download .csv instead of .xlsx. You get one row per line of the statement, ready to import into most budgeting and accounting tools.

What if my statement is a scan?

A scan is a picture, so there is no text to read in the browser. The free Convert PDF to Excel Chrome extension has an AI mode that recognises the numbers in scanned statements.
